In September 2023, the iPhone smartphone maker Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 smartwatches globally alongside the iPhone 15 series. The Cupertino giant has now confirmed to 9to5Mac that flagship Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches will no longer be available for sale in the US.
Apple to halt sale of Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2
The ITC (Internal Trade Commission) has ruled that Apple has infringed Masimo’s patents. The ITC ruling relates to the technology used for reading blood oxygen levels.
In regards, Apple is looking to halt its Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 sales and reportedly these devices will not be available for sale starting at 3 PM (ET) on December 21 through Apple’s online store.
