Apple is rumoured to launch the tenth-anniversary edition called Apple Watch X or Apple Watch 10th gen next year. According to Mark Gurman’s latest weekly Power On newsletter, the upcoming Apple Watch will come with advanced health features and a new design.
Gurman has already claimed that the 10th-anniversary Apple Watch will bring the biggest-ever redesign yet. Now, the tipster has detailed some new advanced feature set to arrive with the new Apple Watch. Gurman has shared more details about new health features to be expected on the upcoming Apple Watch. Gurman has not mentioned the Apple Watch Ultra, which means the redesign and new features will be restricted to the standard Apple Watch.
The company has already launched the Watch Ultra 2 and it’s expected to receive the next big upgrade in 2026 with a Micro LED display. According to Gurman, Apple will depend on the market play of “inventing the ability to take a blood pressure reading from the wrist.”
The tipster says that the next-generation Apple Watch will be able to detect the signs of hypertension or sleep apnea and warn the user to get tested. For the uninitiated, hypertension refers to high blood pressure, which could lead to serious heart disease. On the other hand, sleep apnea is a serious sleeping disorder that causes breathing to repeatedly stop and start while the user is sleeping.
