Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ childhood boyfriend and ex-husband, revealed exclusively to the Daily Mail on Sunday about his infamously brief marriage to the singer. Jason revealed that he and Britney consummated their marriage in the back of a limo following their shotgun wedding.
Britney checked into a Las Vegas hotel under the nickname Alotta Warmheart during the height of her career in 2004. She then met Jason, a childhood friend whom she had flown into Las Vegas earlier that day via private aircraft. The pair then decided to marry, and the marriage became a source of public ridicule following its subsequent annulment.
Britney’s legal team allegedly forced her to cancel the relationship two days after the 4 a.m. ceremony to safeguard her reputation.
“It was just so crazy, man,” Jason recalled in the new interview, adding, “We were just looking at each other and said, ‘Let’s do something wild, crazy. Let’s go get married, just for the hell of it.”
The two escaped in a rented lime green limo and headed to A Little White Wedding Chapel, which is best known for shotgun weddings. Charlotte Richards, the chapel’s owner, stated, “I guess the limousine driver got fired because he had no business taking them out.”
“Beautiful gal — all I could tell you. She was one very beautiful lady, and she was not drunk.”
According to Jason, the couple completed their marriage after the wedding by having sex in the back of the extended limo.
Jason further stated that Britney’s family was “ringing warning bells” by hastily annulling the wedding.
“The men in black swooped in, along with her mum and other family members, and they made us sign paperwork under duress to end our marriage,” he stated. “We didn’t want to annul it. They lied to us. It was always about controlling Britney and controlling her money.”
