Samsung has now released the One UI 6 (Android 14) update to the Galaxy A23 5G smartphone. The company is rolling out the update to the update in some European markets, including the UK, France, Italy, Poland, and Portugal.
The latest update is rolling out with the firmware version A236BXXU4DWKA and is bundled with the November 2023 security patch. Android 14 is the final major OS upgrade for the Galaxy A23 5G, though it is likely to receive One UI 6.1 next year before Samsung switches to providing only security updates for the device.
Once the update is released for the Galaxy A23 or Galaxy A23 5G in your country, you will be able to download it over the air by tapping the Download and install option in the phone’s Settings » Software update menu.
Specifications
The device has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display which supports a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC, which offers decent performance. The smartphone runs Android 12 out of the box and packs a 5,000mAh battery. The device has 25W fast charging support. However, Samsung is bundling only 15W fast charger in the box. If your priority is hardware, good battery life, and cameras, you can go for the A23. However, do note that you will have to compromise on display quality and 5G support.
