Google has recently changed its design for the Web version of Google Chat, and the team of developers of the Mountain View giant has decided to change it for the Android version as well.
The Google team itself announced the new features introduced in the application interface through a post on the official blog, specifying that it had already started its release.
This is how the Google Chat interface changes on Android and iOS
There will be a new navigation bar is introduced at the bottom of the Google Chat app, in order to help users easily access the various features made available to them.
Home – Latest conversations with a unified view and a dedicated filter to quickly locate unread messages.
Direct Messages – You can view all messages (both individual and group chats), with conversations pinned at the top of the list.
Spaces – Here you can view all your Spaces, with conversations pinned to the top of the list.
Mentions – Find messages from conversations and spaces where they have been mentioned.
