Google Discover is the company’s most preferable service that allows users to discover new news and new content that is somehow connected to their habits and preferences in a completely autonomous manner.
Now according to the latest information, Google is experimenting with a new way to find out more about the topic covered by an article in your Google Discover feed.
Google Discover is working on suggestions in the feed
Now as per several tipsters, Google is testing more features on Google Discover. The feed now displays a new footer with suggested related stories.
Tapping the footers opens a Google search for the term listed, giving the user quick access to more details on the topic. Here are some examples.
Currently, this feature is in the testing stage. As the footers strangely span the entire width of the screen, unlike Discover tabs, plus suggestions aren’t displayed for all posts, so it’s unclear whether and when Google will widely distribute this news.
So far the new footers have been noticed in both Pixel Launcher and the Google App’s Discover feed, however for some they are also showing up in Google Chrome, so it appears to be a gradual rollout.
Google Discover offered similar functionality in the past, and a similar experiment was also available for purchase offers, allowing the user to initiate a search for more related offers.
