Most of the new features announced last week by the Google Messages team have yet to be released globally but in the last few hours the time has come for one of them to make its debut: we are talking about Photomoji .
We remind you that this is a feature that allows you to transform photos into reactions with the help of artificial intelligence , contents that can be stored and used as necessary as reactions and stickers.
Here is the new feature of Google Messages
Google Messages will indicate that Photomoji is active on a particular device with a circular badge above the emoji button in the compose field.
Users can add new ones by long-pressing on an SMS or RCS chat and scrolling to the bottom of the reaction bar to select “Create” (this button is also available in the emoji picker to create new ones without having to send them first).
Once you press this button, the usual Google Messages media selector will open to select an image. There’s a “Searching for things to create photomoji…” scan that takes a few seconds and the system then highlights what can turn into a reaction.
The moment you tap Send, the Photomoji will be delivered as a reaction. These contents are the same size as all other emoji but if you tap them a panel opens with a much larger preview.
