After Gemini Nano’s AI-powered “Summarize” feature on Google Pixel 8 Pro, the latest app update adds “Transcribe again” functionality to more Pixel devices Google Recorder.
In the meantime, the company is experimenting with a new way to navigate between the months of the app Google Calendar.
Google Recorder adds “Transcribe again” feature for Pixels
The “Transcribe Again” feature allows you to get a transcription in languages that are not currently supported by Pixel Recorder’s live transcription feature.
After launching from the extra menu of a previous session, it is now possible to select new languages, including Italian.
The feature sends the audio recording to Google servers which will use the company’s standard text-to-speech. The process takes a minute or two, and a “Processing” tab will indicate the status of the transcript.
Google Calendar tests a new navigation by month
Google Calendar may soon get a quicker and easier way to jump to a specific month, as some users see chips with months just below the calendar table.
From the shared screenshot there doesn’t appear to be much else different from the current version of Google Calendar, however it’s hard to say when this design might actually be rolled out en masse to users.
