Google TV suggests programs and films to watch via your favorite streaming platforms thanks to the section with the best recommendations for the user. This feature typically suggests content from integrated apps like Disney+ , Amazon Prime and Netflix , but it seems that now Google ‘s platform has decided to give some importance to those from Plex too
Google TV gives more visibility to Plex content
Although Plex has been available on Google TV for some time, until now it has never appeared in the “Best for you” section, while now it seems that Google TV sees the app as a source of content and therefore now also recommends those provided by Plex.
The recommendations page offers a description of the show, as well as buttons to watch it, add it to the list, mark it as seen and rate it. It also appears that Google TV will still recommend Plex content even if Plex isn’t installed.
This is a small change for Google TV which however gives greater visibility to Plex. As with other services, the more shows and movies from Plex you add to your watchlist, the more recommendations you will receive from the source.
