Honor started sharing teasers for the launch of the upcoming GT smartphones. The forthcoming Honor 90 GT and Honor X50GT smartphones are tipped to debut as the first Honor smartphones with 24GB RAM. Honor has announced the launch dates of the upcoming Honor 90 GT and Honor Pad 9 devices on its Weibo account.
The Honor 90GT and X50GT have seen several leaks so far with some tipsters on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo revealing the launch timeline and chipset details of the upcoming Honor smartphones.
A reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, had also tipped the camera specifications and hinted that Honor will debut the Honor Pad 9 with the upcoming device.
Honor 90 GT and Pad 9 Launch Date
Honor confirms that the upcoming smartphone will debut on December 21 in China. The event will start at 7PM (UTC + 8) and will be live-streamed through the social handles of the brand. The teaser shared by Honor to announce the launch date reveals the flat AMOLED panel with the upcoming device. The Chinese company will equip the device with a centred punch hole and flat edges.
Honor 90 GT Expected Specifications
Honor is tipped to equip the upcoming Honor 90 GT smartphone with an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The panel will offer 2160Hz PWM dimming and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, built on a 4nm process.
The device will debut in 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 24GB + 1TB storage variants. Honor is likely to launch the smartphones in Black, Gold, and Blue colour options.
According to the renders, the device features an iPhone-style flat bezel design with a glossy chassis but appears to be made of plastic rather than metal.
In the image, the HONOR 90 GT appears in light blue color with two racing stripes starting from the rear camera module, however we can expect the device to be available in other color options as well. The rectangular camera island on the back includes two sensors and an LED flashlight.
