Microsoft has released the standalone Copilot application for Android users. In the guise of a chat assistant, Copilot comes to life thanks to the advanced OpenAI, GPT-4 and DALL-E3 models.
These AI technologies provide fast, complex and precise answers, as well as offering the ability to create incredible images starting from simple text descriptions.
Features of the Microsoft Copilot application
Unlike the Bing experience, the application focuses entirely on accessing Microsoft’s AI chat assistant, eliminating the excess elements of the Bing interface, with only the occasional advertisement.
A Copilot iOS application is also “almost ready” and its release is imminent. In the meantime, Android users are luckier and can proceed with the download via the Play Store, we leave you the link for convenience.
The Copilot app does not require a Microsoft account sign-in but it is something you can do if you want to. The app says signing in will result in “longer conversations” and “more questions”. Overall, the app is similar to the Bing search app but without the search and clutter of breaking news, trending stories, weather updates, daily rewards, etc.
Microsoft has not released the Copilot iOS app just yet as per a report, it is said to be “nearly ready”. The release is expected soon but a specific timeline has not been shared. iOS users can go for the Bing chat app or access Copilot through the web browser (copilot.microsoft.com) to utilize generative AI functionalities.
