A new widget Cubes has appeared for the Google Play Store. For the moment this is something being tested, but we can start to take a look at it thanks to some small previews.
New “Cubes” widget for the Google Play Store
In recent months we have had the opportunity to talk several times about Cubes, which should constitute a new app or service related to the same Google services , perhaps an integral part of the Google Play Store. It should be a sort of central hub with information on apps from different categories, but for the moment we can only rely on some previews regarding the interface.
It appears that Cubes will collect content from various applications and present it to the user as a single feed, which can eventually be sorted into categories.
The Telegram channel GappsLeaks shows us today two screens with a new “Cubes” widget dedicated to the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, even by adding it to the home screen, it remains almost completely empty and only shows the sidebar with the various categories (Watch, Games, Read, Listen and so on), but in the preview you can glimpse some elements that also make you think of shopping.
