Google Files is a useful and equally underrated application: the company itself talks little about it, but over the years it has made it more and more complete and now – according to what has just emerged – it seems to be about to equip it too of a very convenient integrated document scanner.
Document scanner directly into Google Files
For a few years now, Drive has been the Google service that integrates a tool dedicated to scanning documents. In the past few weeks, the Google Drive scanner has been revamped and made available : the tool has received some improvements — automatic capture to speed up scanning; using the camera viewfinder to position the document correctly and obtain a better scan; option to import from camera roll; new dedicated button to start a scan — and is now essentially based on the Google Pixel Camera (in this regard, have you read about the latest version available ?).
A new shortcut to Google Drive in the Storage Devices section that opens the app. The scanned files will be available in the 0/Files by Google/Scanned folder or in the Scans tab in Documents and Other Data .
