Nicki Minaj and Husband Kenneth Petty Offered $500,000 to His Sexual Assault Victim to Drop Her Allegations, Says Lawsuit

The spouses Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty are being sued for harassment by a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her in 1994, with the victim alleging the duo attempted to coerce her into recanting her allegations.

Petty was sentenced to four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted rape of the victim, who was 16 at the time. The victim, who is now 43 years old, has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York stating that the pair harassed and threatened her in an attempt to coerce her into retracting her allegation.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit states that after Petty was detained for failing to register as a sex offender in California last year, the victim and her family members began receiving emails from intermediaries for the couple.

Money was offered to the woman and her family in exchange for her recantation of the charges. According to the Lawsuit, $20,000 and then $500,000 were suggested at one time. Minaj also offered to send the victim’s daughter a 16th birthday video “as a bonus.”

According to court documents, Minaj called the victim last year and offered her and her family to visit Los Angeles to “help her out.” Additionally, the artist promised to have her publicist create a statement retracting her story.

The victim stated that she refused to accept any of these inducements. Following that, she and her family members suffered an “onslaught of harassing calls and unsolicited visits” from individuals she suspected were connected to the pair.

According to the lawsuit, the victim stated, “I need you to know woman to woman, that this happened.”

According to court documents, the woman is “living in isolation out of fear of retaliation.” She has been unable to work since May 2020 as a result of “severe depression, paranoia, constant moving, harassment and threats from the defendants and their associates.”

According to court documents, the victim claims she was raped at knifepoint by Petty in 1994 while walking to school. The woman stated that she recognized Petty from the area and directed her to a residence around the corner, where he assaulted her. According to The New York Times, the victim claimed she endured harassment and retaliation during the case’s prosecution.

Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty have been dating since 2018, and the two have an 11-month-old baby together.
