Nothing officially started marketing the wireless headphones but subsequently launched two Android smartphones on the market, called Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2). In the coming months, the young company based in London and founded by Carl Pei could go further and do a bit like Google with its Pixels from the “a” range, launching a slightly lower-end product, Nothing Phone (2nd ).
Nothing Phone (2a)
Nothing Phone (2) was launched last July, so we don’t expect the rumored Nothing Phone (3) to launch until next summer. In the meantime, in addition to other types of products (new wireless headphones, but not only), Carl Pei’s company could dedicate itself to another smartphone, this time in a slightly lower price range. As reported by Sanju Choudhary on X, the company is working on a new phone with model number AIN142.
This would be Nothing Phone (2a), a less expensive device than the main model and equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a central hole and a design in line with the brand’s other products. We can glimpse it in the image below with the characteristic LED segments, the typical transparencies, an alleged double rear camera and in general a squared appearance with rounded edges.
The recommended launch price of Nothing Phone (1) was 499 euros (8-128 GB), while that of Nothing Phone (2) then “rose” to 679 euros (8-128 GB): it is difficult to make hypotheses like this prematurely, but unless we want to go down further, we can focus on a possible Nothing Phone (2nd) debuting below 500 euros, perhaps with a sharp price cut for the first generation model.
