Olivia Rodrigo Wants Her First Tattoo to be a Tribute to Taylor Swift

Olivia Rodrigo launched her debut album, Sour, paid a White House visit to President Joe Biden, topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with her single “Good 4 You,” and celebrated a momentous birthday in 2021. What she did not do, at least not yet, was to get inked.

The singer, who recently turned 18, revealed in an interview with Kiss 92.5’s The Roz and Mocha Show that she considered getting a tattoo to commemorate the occasion but finally opted against it.

“It’s my 18th, so it’s a big one, so I wanted to do something fun,” Rodrigo said. “I think the plan now is to get – I was going to get a tattoo or a piercing, and I was like ‘Ah, I don’t want to get a tattoo,’ so I’m just going to get a second ear piercing.”

Even while she’s not certain she’ll ever get inked, she did reveal what her first piece of body art would be if she did: a Taylor Swift tattoo. A 13 from the singer’s Fearless tour, to be precise. “I wanted to get one with my best friend – we’re both like huge Swifties,” said Rodrigo. “We wanted to get like little baby 13s.” Like the one Swift drew in Sharpie on her hand during the 2009-2010 tour.

Rodrigo, a longtime Swift fan, was thrilled to finally meet her idol at the 2021 BRIT Awards in May, where the couple posed for a lovely photo. We’re not sure how this affects her tattoo plans, but we believe it would make their bond even sweeter.

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is an actress, singer, and composer best known for her appearances in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Series and the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark. Rodrigo signed with Interscope and Geffen Records in 2020 and released her debut single “Driver’s License” in January 2021. The song was written in her living room during quarantine and produced in her garage.
