OnePlus has recently announced the launch of its first foldable phone. According to the information from our tech insider, the first OnePlus foldable phone will be called Open. Ahead of the official debut, the official looking-like renders are now revealed by the popular tipster OnLeaks (via Smartprix).
OnePlus Open Foldable Phone renders
As per the new renders, OnePlus is looking to integrate a new camera module design at the rear side. OnLeaks believes that this is the most comprehensive look at OnePlus’ first foldable phone. The upcoming OnePlus Open will compete with the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
The Open is all set to launch with a triple-camera setup on the back. As per the updated renders, the Hasselblad text has been replaced by the camera company’s logo, which is now positioned on the right side of the module.
The company will bring three camera sensors, including a periscope telephoto camera. There is also a new sensor, possibly a Time-of-Flight (ToF) or LiDAR sensor. The LED flash is positioned outside the camera island.
OnePlus Open Specifications
As per the several tipsters the OnePlus foldable phone aspect ratio will be similar to the Oppo Find N2. The outer display has an 18:9 aspect ratio, whereas the inner foldable screen has an 8.4:9 aspect ratio. As per recent reports, OnePlus will also bring a periscope lens on the back with support for 3x optical zoom. Under the hood, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device will also launch with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The OnePlus foldable phone will pack a 4800mAh battery.
It is also likely to offer 67W fast charging support out-of-the-box. In terms of software, the device to boot on Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of Oxygen OS 13.1 on top.
The device will flaunt a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also feature a 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The foldable phone has a tiny hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the foldable display for the 20MP front camera. The cover screen has a centrally aligned hole-punch cutout for the 32MP secondary front camera.
Earlier the renders already confirmed the design of the OnePlus Fold and showcased a massive circular camera module on the back. The rear panel has a vegan leather finish as well. The device is also likely to feature glass or metal back variants. The device will feature a 48MP primary camera sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP telephoto camera sensor.
