FastConnect 7900 is the world’s first AI-enhanced Wi-Fi system with integrated proximity-sensing capabilities. Compared with the previous generation, FastConnect 7900 adopts a new RF front-end module and architecture, which reduces system power consumption by 40% while improving energy efficiency; the system also helps reduce the board area by 25%, leaving more battery space. to improve battery life; in addition, FastConnect 7900’s compact design also significantly improves cost-effectiveness.
Qualcomm said that based on AI-enhanced features, terminal power consumption can be reduced by up to 30% when users use some popular apps.
In addition, by integrating Wi-F ranging, Bluetooth channel detection and ultra-wideband ranging, proximity sensing technology can realize different types of applications and functions on the terminal side, such as using ultra-wideband technology to find surrounding terminals or items using smart tags.
Use Bluetooth as a digital key and Wi-Fi for indoor navigation in shopping malls and other places. OEM manufacturers and developers can also provide a series of short-range sensing applications based on these integrated key technologies, and consumers can choose to use the corresponding technologies according to the usage scenarios.
FastConnect 7900 can also support better multi-device experiences, such as supporting content to be cast to a screen or speakers, or using multiple screen displays at the same time, and supporting split-rendering VR technology.
