Samsung has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Mastercard for a new program which aims to offer banks and credit card issuers a quick and economical way to expand their offering of digital wallets.
Wallet Express, this is the name of the program, will also represent a convenient innovation for Samsung users, as it will increase the possibility for them to make purchases with their devices quickly and safely.
Samsung joins Mastercard’s Wallet Express program
Wallet Express integrates into Samsung Wallet, the solution launched last year by the Korean giant to bring together the mobile payment experience of Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass in a more complete digital wallet, thanks to which users have the possibility of organizing digital keys, boarding passes, ID cards and more in one app.
Great satisfaction for this new partnership was expressed by Teg Dosanjh, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Europe, who said he was enthusiastic about joining Mastercard’s Wallet Express, a solution that will allow the Korean giant to offer its users greater flexibility in making payments anywhere.
In Europe, the use of digital wallets for both in-store and online payments is becoming more common and, given the success of Wallet Express, Mastercard is also launching further implementations for 2024.
