Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone is one of the highly anticipated flagships of 2024 and the launch will likely take place in January. Tipster Ice Universe has now reported that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could support 50MP photos at 5x optical zoom.
Massive Camera Upgrade – Galaxy S24 Ultra
Ice Universe has posted an image on Weibo with the EXIF data of a 5x zoomed-in image from the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It reveals that the device will be capable of capturing photos at a full 50MP resolution of 6120 x 8160 pixels in zoomed-in shots.
This also means that Samsung may have upgraded the telephoto camera on the Galaxy S24 Ultra from 10MP to 50MP.
To recall, the Galaxy S23 Ultra features a 10MP telephoto lens and a 10MP periscope lens. Using a combination of these lenses with the primary sensor, the device is capable of shooting images with 10x optical zoom, but the resolution is limited to 4000 x 3000 pixels which translates to 12MP.
