Samsung is set to launch the new Galaxy S24 series on January 17, 2023. As anticipated at the beginning, the first information regarding the photographic sector of the Korean company’s future flagship smartphones has been released online.
We know well how Samsung used the same main photographic sensor on the first two models of the Galaxy S22 , Galaxy S23 and presumably Galaxy S24 series, namely the 50 MP ISOCELL GN3.
Galaxy S25 News
According to what has been shared, the company has already decided to equip the future Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus with a new Sony main photographic sensor ; considering the considerable time distance that separates us from the aforementioned smartphones, it is difficult for the moment to find more detailed information, in fact no details have been shared either on the size of the sensor or on the model number.
At the moment nothing can be ruled out, even considering that the awaited Galaxy S24 series does not seem to particularly upset the work done by the company with the latest generations of smartphones; Samsung could therefore equip the next devices with a larger photographic sensor and many other improvements, for which however it is too early to make predictions.
Samsung working on a 1-inch ISOCELL sensor for the Galaxy S25 Ultra
The older brother of what should be the Korean company’s flagship smartphone family for 2025, Galaxy S25 Ultra, is also the protagonist of some photographic indiscretions. According to what was reported on X (formerly Twitter ), the company is considering implementing a new 200 MP main sensor on the device.
Although no detailed information about the model number of the sensor has been shared in this case either, it is rumored that this could be a 1-inch ISOCELL with 0.8 µm pixels, dual-pixel autofocus and zoom cropped in the sensor.
As already mentioned above, it is too early to make certain predictions regarding the company’s plans for the future Samsung Galaxy S25, we just have to wait a little longer, once the presentation of the Galaxy S24 has been archived, rumors will certainly begin to pour in about the future devices of the brands.
