Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones will arrive after the Galaxy S24 series smartphones. A tipster recently revealed the camera specifications of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ to get ISOCELL GN3 sensor
Now a reliable tipster Tech Reve, a reliable tipster on X (formerly Twitter), claimed that Samsung might ditch the existing GN3 sensor for the vanilla S25 and S25+ smartphones. The tipster added that Samsung is aiming to equip the smartphones with a Sony sensor.
Samsung to use the exisitng GN3 Sensor for upcoming Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ smartphones. The South Korean tech giant uses the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ smartphones with the ISOCELL GN3 sensor for the primary camera.
The sensor has a sensor size of 1/1.56-inch and a pixel size of 1.0µm. The ISOCELL GN3 came as a slight upgrade over the ISOCELL GN5 sensor found on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ smartphones.
The upcoming 200MP sensor will reportedly have a sensor size of 1 inch with a pixel size of 0.8μm. Samsung will equip the sensor with horizontal and vertical dual-pixel autofocus (H/V DPAF) and support for 4x in-sensor zoom. The South Korean giant will equip the Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
