Google Messages continues to build new features with the aim of making this product increasingly complete and pleasant to use, confirming the fact that it is among those that the Mountain View giant cares about in a particular way.
A small graphic update for Google Messages
The background for Google Messages RCS chats is made up of overlapping circles or bubbles and it seems that the Dynamic Color functionality is also used, with a rather evident effect when the smartphone uses a light theme and a little more discreet in dark mode.
There are various ways that Google Messages can handle this new feature, such as syncing your background with the other person in the conversation. The Mountain View giant’s developer team should also add a special option to disable it completely.
Other new features of this interface include the prompt in the compose field and the badge above the user avatars in the conversation list.
At the moment it is not clear how widespread the availability of this new feature is, which appears to still be in the testing phase. There is no information, therefore, on when it could be made available to all users through its implementation in a stable version of the app.
