Apple has recently launched the new Vision Pro, but it has a few shortcomings too. One such issue is related to the situation when a user ends up forgetting the Vision Pro passcode.
visionOS 1.1 Beta lets users reset Apple Vision Pro
There is currently no way to reset the passcode without resetting Vision Pro. To make it worse, users have to visit a nearby Apple Store for reset.
Apple has released visionOS 1.1 beta that brings the ability to reset Vision Pro when the passcode is forgotten. As reported by 9to5Mac, users will see a new system alert after entering the wrong passcode multiple times.
The alert says, “This Apple Vision Pro is in security lockout. You can wait and try your passcode again, or you can erase and reset this Apple Vision Pro now.”
For your information, it will not be able to re-activate Vision Pro until you enter the Apple ID password with which it was initially set up.
visionOS 1.1 brings Apple Device management to the Vision Pro. With this functionality, IT departments at companies and educational institutions can manage Vision Pro headsets in the same way they manage iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said that Apple believes the Vision Pro will have a range of enterprise uses, from assisting in surgeries to managing warehouses and providing guides for complex mechanical work.
