WhatsApp developer team aimed at improving this popular messaging service, through the resolution of bugs found and the introduction of new features, all with the aim of offering an increasingly richer experience.
And so in the last few hours the release of a new beta version of the application dedicated to Android-based devices has been started: we are talking about version 2.23.26.13.
A small graphic change for WhatsApp Beta
After installing the 2.23.26.13 beta, some users noticed a new layout for the status updates header.
As shown in this screenshot, the developers are introducing two new buttons in the status updates header: a camera button and a pencil icon. These two buttons act as shortcuts to allow users to quickly share images, videos, GIFs, and text as status updates with their contacts, making the process more intuitive.
This change is currently only available for some beta users and there is no information on when it could be implemented for everyone else (this could also happen with differences compared to this interface).
How to download new versions of the application
If you wish to try the latest innovations studied by the team of WhatsApp developers for Android, you have the possibility to do so through the Google Play Store, by subscribing to the relevant beta testing channel.
Those who were unable to sign up for the beta program but would still like to preview the latest versions of the popular messaging app have the option to do so by manually installing the relevant APK files, which can be downloaded from APK Mirror. In particular, you can find version 2.23.26.13 beta.
