WhatsApp is now working on a new feature called verified badge for business channels. The popular WhatsApp beta tracking website WABetaInfo has spotted a new screen in the latest WhatsApp Beta for Android update 2.24.1.18. The new screen is intended for WhatsApp business users to add a verified badge to their channels.
WhatsApp Business Channels to Get Verified Badges Soon
According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new screen to help business channels add verified badges.
According to the information on the new screen, when business users add verified badges to their channels, their channel name and profile picture will be updated to match the verified business details.
However, to display their verified business badge on their channel, WhatsApp business users will have to be subscribed to Meta Verified.
The Meta Verified option on WhatsApp will be exclusive to businesses and optional. It will not be available to individual and non-business accounts on WhatsApp.
