We continue to follow with great interest the work of the WhatsApp developer team aimed at improving this popular multi-platform instant messaging service.
A little news for WhatsApp in beta
Among the various innovations that the WhatsApp team is working on, we also find one that concerns status updates in particular: it seems, in fact, that the developers want to push users to interact more actively with this type of content.
In particular, with the latest beta releases of the application dedicated to Android and iOS devices, a new response bar for status updates has been implemented .
As shown in this screenshot, some users may rely on a new response bar when viewing status updates. This change undoubtedly makes it easier for users to interact with status updates, as the response bar is now constantly visible.
At the moment there is no information on when this innovation will be made available to all users.
How to download new versions of the app
If you wish to try the latest innovations studied by the WhatsApp for Android developer team, you have the opportunity to do so through the Google Play Store, by subscribing to the relevant beta testing channel.
Those who were unable to sign up for the beta program but still wanted to preview the latest versions of the popular messaging app can do so by manually installing the relevant APK files.
Meanwhile, the Meta-owned WhatsApp is set to roll out some interesting new features for Android users, including Channel Alerts, the ability to search for messages by date, and a feature that hides navigation labels and the top bar when scrolling through the app.
According to a report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has introduced the new Channel Alerts feature with the WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.23.26.6 update and will be rolling it out to all users in the coming days. According to the report, the new feature will help improve the experience for channel users by providing them with real-time data about the suspension of their channel. Channel administrators can use the Channel Alerts feature to learn about violations of WhatsApp’s policies, and can also request the social media company to review their suspension under the Channel Alerts screen.
The WABetaInfo report notes that the Channel Alerts feature is likely to bring more transparency to the platform by allowing users to identify issues with their channels and outline the actions that need to be taken to address them.
