It looks like Hollywood is trying its hardest to carry on with the Emmy Awards – even going so far as to potentially cross picket lines to do so.
To detract from that fact, they dropped the top honors this morning.
“Succession” is in the lead with 27 nominations, followed by “The Last of Us” with 24, “The White Lotus” with 23, and “Ted Lasso” with 21.
Shows that also received nods were “Yellowjackets,” “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” and “Beef.”

Elizabeth Olsen as possible crime-of-passion committing Candy Montgomery in Love & Death wasn’t nominated, though her co-star, Jesse Plemmons, was.
Harrison Ford, as a snarky, sarcastic therapist on Shrinking, as well as his work on Yellowstone spinoff 1923 wasn’t nominated for either show.
Though House of the Dragon was nominated for Best Outstanding Drama, no one on the cast was nominated for a single category – a crime considering the incredible performances that brought this show to life.
The Emmy Awards are currently scheduled for September 18.
