According to the latest information, many iPhone users have complained that their alarms have been ringing silently since last week. The issue has been mainly spotted on iPhones with FaceID.
Apple is working on a fix to address the issue. In the meantime, users from the iPhone Community forums have suggested some tips to prevent alarms from ringing silently.
Apple iPhone Alarms Go Silent
The silent alarm problem in iPhones appears to be widespread, especially among iPhone 15 users. However, the root cause behind the problem is still unclear.
Some users have speculated that the Attention Aware Feature in iOS is causing this problem. Although this setting is designed to let users expand notifications on their lock screen, it can also disable the alarm if the iPhone detects the user looking at the screen. This feature can be disabled by going to Settings > Face ID and Passcode > Attention Awareness Features
In addition to this, some users have also suggested disabling the Change with Buttons toggle under Settings > Sound & Haptics. This can accidentally reduce the alarm volume when the user hits the volume buttons.
