The iPhone smartphone maker Apple has finally confirmed that in 2024, iPhones will finally embrace RCS messaging.
Apple Is Set To Add RCS Support in 2024
As per the latest report from 9to5Mac, RCS or Rich Communication Services, is the new-gen messaging standard replacing the SMS we’ve used for ages.
RCS brings a bunch of cool features to the table, like read receipts, typing indicators, and the ability to send high-quality media files. It’s like giving your old SMS a much-needed tech makeover.
“We believe RCS Universal Profile will offer a better interoperability experience when compared to SMS or MMS. This will work alongside iMessage, which will continue to be the best and most secure messaging experience for Apple users,” told Apple to the publication.
