Audi is renovate its sports sedan car as a more powerful all-electric sedan

Audi RS6 sports sedan car fans have a reason to celebrate since the company plans to revive the RS6 saloon in order to make it a more powerful, high-performance electric sedan.

The Audi RS6 have its fan base for over 20 years while the classic sedan got discontinued in 2010. The decision was made in favor of the more stylish RS 7 Sportback.

As per the new report from Autocar, the sports car will live on in the form of an all-electric sedan called the RS6 E-Tron. Also, the electric sedan will be a sibling to the forthcoming RS6 Avant E-Tron. The information has been revealed from the source at Audi’s engineering headquarters in Germany.

The RS6 E-Tron sports car will debut in the UK in 2025. Also, the variant going to join the A6 E-Tron sedan and Avant models launching by next year.

RS-6 E-Tron and Avant based on Porsche co-developed PPE Platform

Similar to Audi’s other high-performance models, the RS-6 E-Tron and Avant models will be based on the Porsche co-developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE). While the platform will also power the forthcoming Porsche Macan EV as well as the Audi Q6 E-Tron.

The new Audi electric sports cars are supposed to be equipped with more power than the gas-powered RS6 Avant and RS7 sedan. This is up to 603 hp (450 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of instant torque respectively.

Porsche and Audi are said to have an 800 V PPE platform. And it delivers advanced performance with next-gen electric motors, ultra-modern batteries, and charging management. Furthermore, the company earlier planned to rename the present A6 to the A7, as per the new naming scheme. Although, the scheme has been under further review.

As reported earlier the automaker is lately associated with China’s SAIC. The partnership leads to utilizing Chinese technology in order to build EVs in the region. Audi aims to come up with 10 fully electric models by late 2025. Since the company is aggressively working towards an electric future. The automaker has been teasing its forthcoming Q6 e-tron in prototype form because it start to begin its production by next year.
