BYD Auto’s celebrates five millionth new energy vehicle to roll off its assembly lines

As some automakers are deliberately working to deliver healthy EV numbers. China’s BYD is on a completely different level. Since it celebrates five million new energy vehicles (NEVs) built. What is greater to share here is the frequency at which BYD’s production lines are expanding.

The company have its inception in 1995, prior to that BYD has rapidly grown through the ranks in the form of a global major maker. This is particularly in the area of electric vehicles and battery technology. It also comprises the commercial side of its new energy vehicles. BYD has a huge presence in 400 cities which is more than 70 countries.

In the passenger segment of EVs, it is clearly visible that BYD expand its footprint more freshly to the different markets. It includes Japan and Europe, in order to deliver vehicles like the super popular ATTO 3. While, with a production point of view, BYD builds NEVs beyond China, inclusive of plans for three new facilities in Brazil.

Additionally, BYD considers itself a “driving force in the industry” since it has production mastery to back it up. For those who are not aware of the name, then you soon will, as the automaker stretches its wings in order to expand its lineup of brands.

BYD’s production rise

BYD Auto’s five millionth new energy vehicle to roll off its assembly lines in China was an N7 SUV from its Denza sub-brand respectively. Also as claimed by the company itself that it is the first global automaker to hit five million NEVs (BEVs and plug-in hybrids). The company has more to celebrate, while one of the most remarkable aspects is how quickly to reach here.

The company mentioned that it took 13 years to reach one million NEVs. Interestingly, from here, it only requires another 18 months in order to reach three million. While another 9 months from there to achieve five million. It significantly helped to collect over $1.86 million in sales last year.

Regardless, BYD’s production lines are buzzing and demonstrating no signs of declining. According to BYD chairman and president Wang Chuanfu:

Today marks a historic moment for BYD as we witness our 5 millionth new energy vehicle rolls off the production line. On this special occasion, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our customers across the globe for their trust in our products, our partners in the industry for this journey shared together, and every one of our employees whose hard work and dedication have made this landmark possible.
