However, the return of the Bolt in the form of an Ultium-based EV is all over the news. Besides, GM and Chevy together have another model lineup which is Blazer EV. GM disclosed that it was planning to alter or modify its biggest SUV nameplate., the Blazer, to an electric model at CES 2022. And that’s the point where we got our first glimpse of the Chevy Blazer EV Super Sport (SS) trim. The very first Chevrolet electric vehicle comes with a performance trim.

Additionally, the automaker first disclosed the Blazer EV officially over a year before. Earlier, GM has a statement concerning electric SUVs that would come in four trims. And it comprises 1LT, 2LT, RS, SS, plus a police pursuit vehicle (PPV) edition.

While released, GM estimated prices would range from approx $45K (1LT trim) and reach upward of $70K for the performance SS version. Chevrolet’s most fresh update makes us better aware of what we can assume from the models that going to launch this year. 2LT and RS Variant

At the time when Chevy launched the Blazer EV, the 2LT was forecasted to come to around $47,595. While RS was supposed to come to around $51,995. It is noted here that this pricing is for the FWD versions.

On the other hand, the 2LT AVD variant will be the low-priced Blazer variant. The same going to hit the roads this year, which comes at the starting price range of $56,715. Additionally, the vehicle comes under $50K for those who qualify for the $7500 tax credit.

RS RWD and 2LT AWD Variant

Chevy also disclosed the GM-est ranges for the LT (293) and RS (320) regarding the FWD version and it continuously remains to be official figures. Also, the first Chevy Blazer that is going to launch this summer will be the RS AWD. The company says the RS RWD and 2LT AWD will begin production this fall.

However, the SS trim was also predicted to launch this year. Chevrolet updated its website ahead of this month, indicating the SS would be put on hold till spring 2024. According to the automaker, it now plans to start its production next spring. Whereas the PPV variant will be available early next year.

The company reveals that it will bring more details for the remaining drivetrain version. This also includes the FWD variants of the RS and 2LT respectively.
