Even the sexiest man alive and superhero heartthrob can get ghosted – yes, we’re talking about Chris Evans!

The star of the upcoming movie “Ghosted” and People magazine’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive recently revealed that he, too, has experienced the sting of being ignored by a love interest.

It’s a humbling reminder that no matter how famous or attractive you are, you’re not immune to the dating game’s frustrations. Who knew Captain America himself could be jilted?

In a recent interview, Chris Evans opened up about a dating experience that he believes is worse than being ghosted.

“I feel I’ve experienced something much worse,” he revealed. “I think I’d prefer being ghosted because you can make up any story you want. I’ve had the slow decline in text responses, and you just know the person is pushing you aside casually.” It’s a relatable feeling that many of us have experienced in the dating world.

To cope with this, Evans shared that he would tell himself a story to make sense of the situation. “You tell yourself a story, whatever you have to do to get by,” he said. It’s a coping mechanism that many people use to deal with rejection and disappointment.

Now in a happy and committed relationship with girlfriend Alba Baptista for over a year, Evans approaches communication in his relationships with sensitivity.

Chris Evans may play a tough superhero on the big screen, but in real life, he’s all about love and avoiding conflict.

“I don’t like to argue, I don’t like to raise my voice or any forms of manipulation,” he said. “I love love. I’m a bit of a sap like that. I like being sentimental, I cry pretty easily. At a good song, nice sunset, yeah, my emotions are bubbling.”

As he’s gotten older, Evans has also learned the importance of apologizing. “I also really see the value and strength behind saying ‘I’m sorry,’” he shared. “If you’re able in those vulnerable moments to stay calm and listen, I think that opens up a door in a very healthy way.”

In his upcoming movie “Ghosted,” Evans plays a farmer who experiences the pain of being ghosted by a woman he went on a date with, played by Ana de Armas. Little does he know, she’s actually a secret agent. Will they be able to work through their communication issues and find love? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.
