Samsung has recently pushed out the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 Series, Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy A12, 13, 14 and foldable devices in several countries.
The new security update is rolling out for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US. Samsung could release the new software update in other regions and countries within the next few days.
Galaxy S20 July 2023 security update: What’s New?
Verizon bounded Galay S20 Series devices are now getting the new update with firmware version G981VSQS6HWG2.
The July 2023 security patch fixes over 90 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software. Note that the update only includes the securiy patch and it doesn’t bring any new features or performance improvements. If you have a Galaxy S20 series phone in the US, you can now check for the new update. To install it, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphone flaunts a 6.20-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1440×3200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
