Google’s company goal for 2024 is to build the world’s most powerful AI and lay off more employees. People complained that the CEO received a huge salary, canceled products without reason, but only fired people.

Google 2024 New Year Goal Revealed

1. Provide the most advanced, safest and most responsible AI in the world.

2. Improve knowledge, learning, creativity and productivity.

3. Build the most useful personal computing platforms and devices.

4. Enabling organizations and developers to innovate on Google Cloud.

5. Provide the most trustworthy products and platforms in the world.

6. Build a Google that’s extraordinary to Googlers and the world.

7. Increase your company’s speed, efficiency and productivity and achieve lasting cost savings.

Under the strategic guidance of ALL IN AI, the primary goal is to ensure that its AI products must be the world’s leading. But judging from the performance of the currently launched Gemini Pro, Google seems to be getting further and further away from this goal.

Except in Google’s own tests, Gemini Pro can compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT-3.5. Most third-party tests show that there is still a certain gap between Gemini Pro and GPT-3.5, let alone GPT-4.

According to testing by CMU researchers, Gemini Pro lags behind GPT-3.5 almost across the board. The Gemini Ultra, which is about to be launched, carries Google’s only hope of re-proving itself in the field of AI.

According to internal emails from Google, all Google employees can immediately use Gemini Ultra in advance. It seems that it won’t be too far away from Google’s official release of Gemini Ultra.

But Google, which has accomplished its mission, will have to face more than just GPT-4, which has been released for almost a year. There are various signs that OpenAI’s next new model is also being trained intensively.

Sam Altman revealed at the recent Davos Forum that OpenAI’s new model will have a major upgrade and completely surpass all existing AI products on the market.
