As per the latest research, Google’s new upcoming smartphone Google Pixel 8a recently appeared on the UL Demko regulatory platform. The model number of the device is GH2MB.
The regulatory platform shows that the GH2MB model phone will be equipped with a 4942 mAh battery, and Google may eventually promote the phone with a 5000/5040 mAh capacity.
The previous generation Google Pixel 7 mobile phone was 4385 mAh, foreign media Mysmartprice believes that this GH2MB model phone may also be the Google Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel Fold 2.

Then again, we’re also expecting the Pixel 9 series in October, and the listing could very well refer to an upgrade for the vanilla model’s battery capacity. The Pixel Fold 2 is also in the works and with a 5,000mAh battery, it too would be in for a bit of a power upgrade.

The Pixel 9 camera is expected to be different from its earlier models, such as the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Pixel 8, as it is said to come with a new rear camera module with three cameras.
Rumours suggest that the new Google smartphone series will feature a brand new rear camera module boasting three lenses and ditching the old, wide-spanning camera bar in favour of a unique, Pixel Fold-inspired oval shape.
The camera unit is also rumoured to include a periscope telephoto lens, showing a big improvement in optical features, possibly allowing for variable aperture. The camera upgrades also hint at a more powerful camera performance, which will interest photography lovers.
