Google is gearing up to launch its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones and the new Pixel 8a. The company may launch its Pixel 8a at its I/O event next year so there’s still plenty of time.

The Pixel 8a smartphone is spotted with the codename ‘Akita’. According to this listing, the Pixel 8a is running an underclocked version of the Tensor G3 chipset paired with Mali-G715 GPU.

The smartphone has been listed with 8GB of RAM, and Android 14. In terms of performance, the Pixel 8a has a single-core score of 1,218 and a multi-core score of 3,175.

Display: Google Pixel 8 Pro is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 has a 6.17-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 1400-nits peak brightness, 427 PPI.

SoC: Google is looking to integrate its Google Tensor G3 chipset and Titan security chip.

OS: The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro to run on Android 14 OS.

Pixel 8 Pro Cameras: The Pixel 8 Pro is said to house a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 64MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens. There could be an 11MP shooter on the front.

Pixel 8 Cameras: The Pixel 8 could house a 50MP GN2 primary sensor, a 12MP IMX386 ultra-wide and a ToF camera. There is an 11MP sensor on the front for selfies.

Battery: The Pixel 8 Pro packs a 4,950mAh battery with 27W wired charging support. While the Pixel 8 is said to feature a 4,485mAh Battery with 20W fast wired charging and 12W wireless charging.
