No stranger to the spotlight thanks to her decades of acting, her part in the Marvel Universe, and some recent legal troubles, Gwenyth Paltrow isn’t pulling any punches as she opens up about her relationships with the 90’s heartthrobs.
Recently, on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper, Paltrow opened up about some of her higher profile romances, including those with ex-husband Chris Martin of Coldplay, Ben Affleck, and Brad Pitt, who she dated from 1994 to 1997.
According to her, it was “major love at first sight” vibes with Pitt, who she met on the set of “Seven.” When asked to compare Affleck to Pitt, Paltrow said that Pitt brought more romance to the table, as well as a better fashion sense. Affleck, on the other hand, was better at making her laugh – even though the two argued more frequently.
The two then played a quick game of F*ck, Marry, Kill, featuring her three most prominent exes – Chris, Brad, and Ben. Making her choices, Paltrow stated, “I would do that all again,” in reference to her marriage to Chris Martin, with whom she shares two children. She chose Brad as the person she’d hop back into bed with, leaving Ben as the one who gets metaphorically offed. “Ben, yeah, God bless him,” she joked.
After some lite gossip, Cooper asked the burning question: who was better in bed.
“That is really hard,” Paltrow said. “Because Brad was the sort of like, major chemistry love-of-your-live kind of like — at the time, you know. And then, like, Ben was like technically excellent. I can’t believe my daughter’s listening to this. Am I blushing?”
In regards to Pitt’s proposal in 1997, she said “One night we were on the balcony of this house we were renting in this little town in Argentina. I wish I remembered exactly what he said, but he proposed, it was fantastic, I was thrilled. We had talked about it, but I was surprised in the moment, I remember that. I must have been 24.”
However, the couple called it quits when Paltrow realized that she wasn’t ready for a lifetime commitment at just 24 years old.
She’s now married to Brad Falchuck. Ben Affleck recently wed superstar Jennifer Lopez, Chris Martin has been dating actor Dakota Johnson since 2017, and Brad Pitt is rumored to be dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon after a high profile split from Angelina Jolie.
