Google has finally started rolling out the beta 5 of Android 14, the next version of the operating system which is very close to being released in a stable form. The release of the August patches for all supported Pixels (running Android 13 ) last Monday, anticipated the fact that we would not see the release of the stable version of Android 14 soon (also because there were still many unsolved problems, also witnessed by a long list of fixes that accompanied the release of beta 4.1, a real “corrective patch”).
The new beta 5, the release of which was launched a few minutes ago on all compatible Pixels of users registered in the Android Beta program, continues the process of finalizing and optimizing the operating system and is configured as a real “Release Candidate ” ( a release candidate build in stable form): everything will depend on the feedback from the beta testers, which is crucial at this stage.
