Instagram is looking to add one more feature to its app. According to the latest information, you will soon be able to tag multiple people in a story. You can currently mention or tag several people in your story but doing so can take up a lot of space.
Instagram group tag in stories
As per the latest information from the Instagram head Adam Mosseri, this new feature is under testing so not everyone will have access to the feature just yet. With the new feature, Instagram will let you tag a group of people in a story with a single mention. So now you don’t have to tag all five people that you want to mention in your Instagram story.
You all need to create a group mention and add people to it. So now you can simply add the group mention instead of individually tagging everyone. This will help you with a big group. Unfortunately, Instagram head Mosseri didn’t reveal any information regarding the launch date.
Meanwhile, the platform is also introducing a new feature designed to protect users from unwanted DM requests. The new safeguards include limitations on the number of messages that can be sent to non-followers and alterations to the types of content that can be shared initially.
