Instagram testing a new privacy feature

Instagram developer team is working on a new feature for its users. Among the many features being tested we also find one that could make many users happy: we are referring to the possibility of establishing who can see what we like on Instagram.

Essentially, by virtue of this new feature, users will have the option to choose to completely hide all the posts and reels they have liked or choose to make them available to a specific audience.

A new feature being tested on Instagram

According to what was revealed by Hammod Oh on X, this feature, although still in the testing phase, is already available for some users. This innovation is found in the settings menu of your profile and is available in the Settings and Privacy section, within the tab dedicated to Likes.

Then you will be able to choose from the list of options and as a result, the likes will be visible on Instagram depending on the option selected.

It remains to be seen how this feature will affect the Like count for accounts whose posts and reels are liked. At the moment this innovation is still in the testing phase and there is no information on when it will be made available to all users.
