An insider suggested that King Charles III and Queen Camilla may have experienced frustration amidst the whirlwind of media attention surrounding Kate’s visit to the Chelsea Flower Show. The regal couple made their inaugural appearance at the iconic exhibition as the monarch and consort, arriving after the princess had departed.

A royal insider, speaking to Richard Eden of the Daily Mail, emphasized the significance of His Majesty’s presence at Chelsea, given his deep affinity for horticulture. However, the insider expressed disappointment that the King’s visit with Her Majesty the Queen received comparatively less media coverage than anticipated. Concerns were raised that the regal couple may have experienced a sense of letdown, albeit hoping that their expectations were not overly dampened.

Interestingly, this is not the first instance where King Charles III has expressed unease over the popularity surrounding the Princess of Wales.

In his memoir, “Spare,” published in 2023, Prince Harry disclosed that his father had reproached Prince William and Kate Middleton for diverting media attention from his own engagements.

According to the Duke of Sussex, Prince Charles and Camilla disapproved of William and Kate’s actions, which seemed to overshadow their own endeavors and causes. Instances of open scolding by the King were cited, as the tensions regarding media focus became apparent within the royal family.
