Kellie Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs’ Cause of Death Revealed

According to the Davidson County Medical Examiner, Kyle Jacobs died by suicide on February 17. Jacobs was 49 years old at the time of his death.

Kyle Jacobs, the husband of singer Kellie Pickler and a songwriter, died by suicide, according to an autopsy report cited by Taste of Country

Toxicology results showed no presence of drugs in his system at the time of death. However, Jacobs had a history of various medical issues, including pseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use. 

Jacobs died on February 17 at the age of 49.

According to Epilepsy.com, pseudoseizures or psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES) are episodes that resemble epileptic seizures but are not caused by epilepsy. They stem from psychological factors.

The Nashville Police Department disclosed in a statement that the Department of Emergency Communications had been informed of an incident at a residence at 1:21 p.m. local time, on a particular day in February.

Upon their arrival at the site, the Nashville Fire Department and police officers discovered the songwriter deceased, according to their statement. The authorities stated that they were treating his death as a possible suicide.

Pickler informed the authorities that she had woken up shortly but was unable to locate Jacobs. After they couldn’t open the door to a room in the house, she and her personal assistant contacted the police, according to the statement.

Music City Hitmakers reported that Jacobs moved from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Nashville in 2000. He was known for his contributions as a songwriter, including penning Garth Brooks’ 2007 hit “More Than Memory” and Tim McGraw’s “Still.”

Jacobs also collaborated with popular musicians such as Kelly Clarkson, Randy Travis, Scotty McCreery, Josh Kelley, and Clay Walker. He had a successful career that earned him several awards, including a CMA Award, an ACM Award, and a Grammy Award nomination.

Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs tied the knot in a surprise ceremony on January 1, 2011. The couple had been in a relationship since 2008, and Jacobs proposed on a Florida beach on June 15, 2010.

Pickler, who gained recognition on American Idol, described the engagement as the most spiritual moment. She even mentioned that they would have married on the spot if there had been a preacher nearby.
