Amid an ongoing family dispute, King Charles III, and his youngest son, Prince Harry, are reportedly planning to hold talks for reconciliation. This meeting is scheduled for September 17, and the King has made time for it.

According to an unidentified source quoted in OK! Magazine, “King Charles is due to return to London from Balmoral in the middle of September, which ties in with the end of Harry’s Invictus Games trip to Dusseldorf.”

The source further explained that the king’s rescheduled official visit to France on September 20 allows him a few days in London to meet his son. The details of the meeting are currently being finalized.

Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, is not expected to participate in the talks. However, sources from Sussex have denied this report as per The Post’s information.

It is no secret that tensions have existed between Harry and his family in recent years. This friction escalated after the release of his memoir titled “Spare” in January, where he disclosed that his father had labeled him as the “spare” from birth.

An insider from OK! noted that King Charles III was particularly upset about Harry’s portrayal of Queen Camilla in the memoir. Harry claimed that Camilla had used him for her personal public relations image.

Should the talks proceed, the source from OK! emphasized that the king would firmly establish that any private family matters should not be discussed publicly in the future.

Harry delved further into family challenges in the December 2022 Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan,” which explored their decision to step away from royal responsibilities in 2020.

Harry did return to the UK in May to attend his father’s historic coronation at Westminster Abbey. However, he was not seen alongside his brother, Prince William, or his father. He did not hold an official role in the ceremony either. During the event, he occupied the third row, obstructed from view by Princess Anne’s prominent feathered hat.

His stay in the country lasted less than a day. The Prince had to hurry back to Montecito, California, to celebrate his son Archie’s fourth birthday with his family. The anticipated peace talks between Harry and Charles are poised to take place a few weeks before the monarch’s 75th birthday on November 14.

Whether Harry and Markle will travel to celebrate remains uncertain. A royal expert recently speculated that Harry might choose to go alone, mirroring their approach during the coronation.

Royal biographer and journalist Angela Levin contemplated, “He could go by himself and bring Archie along,” during an interview on GB News. She further added that now that Archie is older, he could spend time with his cousins.

Harry and Markle are parents to two children: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, 4, and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, 2.

Levin also mentioned that Charles would likely desire the presence of Harry and Meghan’s children during such an occasion.
