Lava O2 phone launched with 90Hz display and 50MP camera

Lava has now officially introduced a new budget smartphone in India. It’s called the Lava O2 smartphone and it comes with a 50MP camera, a 90Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Lava O2 is priced at $101 for the sole variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The first sale of the Lava O2 is scheduled to take place on March 27th via Lava e-store, and Amazon.

As per the latest information, the Lava O2 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole camera for selfies. The smartphone is powered by the UNISOC T616 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also gets 8GB of virtual RAM for a performance boost. There’s also a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 512GB.

In the photography department, you get a 50MP dual AI camera with features such as AI mode, HDR mode, portrait mode, beauty mode and night mode. There’s an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

On the software front, the Lava O2 runs near-stock Android 13 with no bloatware or ads. You also get anonymous plus call recording and dual app support with the Lava O2. You can also flip the phone to silent calls, and there’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone.
