Legendary Aerosmith to Launch Final Tour

The tour is set to start in September and will hit cities such as Los Angeles, NYC, Seattle, and Boston – where the band initially started.

In a statement, the band said, “It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.”

The tour is set to start on September 2nd and will play 40 dates before wrapping up in Montreal. The most emotional of the shows will likely be the one they play in their hometown of Boston.

Aerosmith got their start in 1970 and is made up of members Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer. Kramer will not be in attendance on the upcoming tour.

The band stated, “while Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”

The tour announcement comes on the heels of a woman who filed a lawsuit against Steven Tyler for sexual assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She alleges that the lead singer started a sexual relationship with her when she was undersage. Tyler has denied these allegations.

Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday, May 5th.
