Mark Cuban Condemns Sen Elizabeth Warren for her Proposals to Increase Taxes on the Ultra-Wealthy Americans

Dallas Maverick owner and billionaire Mark Cuban slams Elizabeth Warren over tax hike plans. During Vox Media’s Code Conference this week, Cuban described paying taxes as an act of patriotism.

Cuban, whose personal fortune estimated at $4.6 billion, lashed out at Elizabeth Warren, calling her “everything that’s wrong with politics.”

In response to a question about his thoughts on Democratic plans to increase taxes on the rich, Cuban said, “I don’t mind being taxed more. I wrote a blog 20 years ago saying the most patriotic thing you can do after military service is pay your taxes because that’s what allows everybody to live and prosper.”

He added, “But yeah, the idea of ‘soak the rich,’ billionaire tears that sell that cup — screw you, Elizabeth Warren. You’re everything that’s wrong with politics.”

Cuban has been a critical fellow of former President Donald Trump for many years. He also supported Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden’s quests to defeat the Republicans in 2016 and 2020. In 2016, Cuban floated he was running for the presidency before making it clear that he would not be a candidate.

This is not the first time Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, and Cuban have clashed. Last year, during an interview with MSNBC, the senator called out Cuban, saying U.S. tax laws favor the rich.

“We need to change the laws, so they are not written for Mark Cuban and his buddies,” Warren said.

On Fox Business Network, Cuban hinted at the possibility of a new tax on unrealized gains on investments. “I don’t think Elizabeth Warren knows at all what she’s talking about when she deals with this. I think she just likes to demonize people that are wealthy, and that’s fine.”

In the past, Warren also criticized other billionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos over their opposition to progressive economic policy.
