Meghan Markle Makes a Splash In Surprise Video Supporting Female Owned Coffee Company

Meghan Markle and Clevr Coffee Co-Found Hannah Mendoza

Clevr, the female owned holistic coffee brand, has said that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is their “first investor, adviser and biggest advocate”

Hannah Mendoza, the co-founder of instant latte brand, Clevr, went on to say, “three years ago, everything changed. None other than Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had started drinking our lattes. Not only did she love the product, but she was extremely passionate about supporting female founders, our sustainable sourcing and our food justice giveback.”

The quote comes after an Instagram Reel of Meghan sipping from a mug beside Mendoza as they chatted. Mendoza went on to reminisce about how the company was started with just a few holistic beverages and a handmade coffee bar. During the week, they would sell and ship blends from a rented garage, then go on to appear at pop ups and events with their little cart on weekends. She continued, “Meghan ended up becoming our first investor, adviser and biggest Clevr advocate.”

Things continued to pick up for Clevr, with Mendoza saying that Meghan “even sent our turmeric latte to friends. And a few days later, I open my phone to see Oprah herself making our Golden SuperLatte in her own kitchen. No big deal. We lost it. Our small but mighty team was 100% not ready for this and ended up selling out for two months,” she added.

Thanks to this awesome unofficial collab, Clevr has now sold over 6 million lattes! They credit this success to “to the power of women uplifting women.”
