Moto G Play 2024 with 50MP camera, Snapdragon 680 SoC launched

Moto G Play 2024 smartphone has now been officially revealed for the US market. This is the brand’s latest budget offering in the G-series. The handset is protected by ThinkShield for Mobile and features the latest Moto Secure features and Moto Unplugged.

Moto G Play 2024 is priced at $149.99 and comes in Sapphire Blue colour options. The unlocked model will be on sale from Amazon.com, Best Buy, and the Motorola website starting February 8th. The handset will also be sold via most leading carriers as well.

As per the specifications are concerned, the Moto G Play 2024 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision display with 1600 x 720 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 500 nits brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage, which is further expandable up to 512GB via a micro SD card.

The Moto G Play 2024 runs on Android 13 OS with My UX custom skin out of the box. Moving to optics, the phone has a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. There is an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.

The phone is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, IP52 rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The Motorola phone measures 163.82×74.96×8.29mm and weighs 185 grams.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support.
